How to Edit Your Video in CapCut

  • Go to capcut.com or open the CapCut desktop app and click "New Project"

  • Click "Import" to upload your screen recording from your Videos > Captures folder

  • Drag your video clip onto the timeline at the bottom of the editor

  • Click on a clip in the timeline to trim it — drag the edges to cut out unwanted parts

  • Add text overlays by clicking "Text" in the top toolbar — great for titles and commentary

  • Use the "Effects" panel to add visual effects to your clips

  • Click "Audio" to add background music from CapCut's free royalty-free library

  • Arrange multiple clips on the timeline to create your highlight reel
